Let's start from the very beginning. A very good place to start.
I began performing as a child
using music as a way to survive.
As a way to express myself; to feel seen. Under the stage name Ruthe Kay, I learned early on what it meant to carry biiigg feelings in a loud world.
After nearly a decade in the industry, I stepped away.
At eighteen, I chose healing, education, and growth over visibility. I lived quietly, learning how to care for myself. Slowly, I rebuilt my love for music.
RKY is my return.
My early work, including Fever Pitch (Roots Edition), reflects the foundation.
Now softer, braver, and more grounded - RKY is the version of me that knows music is meant to build community, not perfection.

I believe music is a sanctuary.
A place where joy is resistance.
Where softness is strength!!
Today, I'm building a body of work rooted in self-acceptance, gratitude, and connection.
If you're here, thank you. Please make yourself at home
