RKY is a singer/producer born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, that makes music for joy and connection. Her expansive songs are rooted in healing and emotional honesty.
A born performer, she grew up gigging in Duluth with her guitar, taking trips to the Twin Cities to attend blues jams, and acting in musicals. Formerly known as Ruthe Kay, she has brought her sparkle to venues like the House of Blues Chicago, the Taste of Minnesota, Bayfront Festival Park, and Duluth Homegrown. After time away to focus on personal growth, she is emerging into the public eye as RKY: older, softer, and braver.
RKY's debut LP, Heart to Heart, is self-written and produced. It is an end-of-summer offering, with singles "Heart to Heart" and "Main Attraction" leading the way. Previously, she released an EP (Fever Pitch [Roots Edition]), with contributions from Cory Wong and JD Steele.
